    Role

     

    Carries out the duties relevant to the maintenance of all loan records post-closing. Follows established procedures for servicing loans, including the processing of loan documents and preparing letters to members..

     

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Closing Package Review Process: Prepares and maintains required records and reports regarding loan servicing activities and ensures a consistent flow is maintained in the file room. Re-organization of files/documents may be necessary to utilize space wisely and account for future growth. Documents that must remain on site need to be properly filed and maintained. Performs quality assurance on loan package after funding. Ensures lien registration. Images loan file to cold storage.

    + Prepares and processes loan payoffs and lien releases, as well as mortgage modifications and Home Equity subordinations, in addition to all necessary paperwork. Processes payment adjustments. Set up payments post closing.

    + Orders and reviews appraisals to ensure reports are accurate and meets appraisal requirements. Prepares some correspondence and documents and performs other clerical duties related to loan servicing.

    + Responsible for reporting HMDA data collection, and audit documentation requests.

    + Answers basic questions from members and internal inquiries regarding the mortgage and loan documents, balance owing, payment breakdown and other basic matters pertaining to loans. Makes collection calls to members pertaining to real estate loans.

    + Assists with incoming real estate related mail. Receive original closing packages from closing department on closed files from settlement agents and ensure title checks are posted to the proper GL and escrow accounts.

    + Monitors CRM queues and assigns requests as needed.

    + Assists with any other special projects or assignments as assigned by manager.

    + Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

     

    Knowledge and Skills

    EXPERIENCE

    Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

    High school degree or GED required. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.

     

    Minimum starting wage: $19.44 ( Negotiable based on experience)
