Job Title: Clinical Nutrition SpecialistDepartment: DialysisLocation: Bay Creek Dialysis CenterHours Per Week: 20Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift, 4 hour shifts
SUMMARY:
As a Renal Dietitian, you will design and implement individualized medical nutrition therapy and collaborate with other disciplines to optimize nutrition care for patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESRD) receiving in-center hemodialysis and outpatient peritoneal or home hemodialysis. Your contribution is essential in helping patients with ESRD acclimate to lifestyle factors and overcome potential barriers associated with eating well while receiving hemodialysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Assessment: Complete nutritional assessments for all patients; provide input into Nutritional Support Service rounds for assigned patients; monitor and document patient progress.
+ Nutritional Therapy Planning: Provide recommendations for formulations, rate and volume for all tube fed and TPN patients. Instruct patients and families on special diets and general good nutrition.
+ Patient Care: Develop plan of care per clinical data, interview, diagnosis and treatment goals; provide oversight to dietetic technicians providing patient care.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 1 year of clinical nutrition experience as a Registered Dietitian.
+ Bachelor’s Degree from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) accredited program.
+ Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A minimum of two (2) years of acute clinical experience.
+ Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements for nutrition care.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Strong analytical thinking and computer skills.

RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
