    Job Title: Sample Technician

    Job Description

    The Sample Technician is responsible for the intake, logging, preparation, and processing of samples, as well as maintaining the laboratory shipping area. This role ensures accurate sample management and efficient laboratory operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Scan reports and log samples by typing in and matching product codes in the sample management systems.

    + Unbox samples, place them onto trays, and deliver them to the laboratory.

    + Measure and weigh samples.

    + Mix and batch samples.

    + Operate basic laboratory equipment to initiate tests.

    + Perform basic wet chemistry tasks.

    + Fill test tubes, place them on a hot tray, and de-gas samples

    + Maintain laboratory shipping area

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Experience with sample preparation or shipping is preferred.

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Strong computer skills.

    Work Environment

    The work environment involves standing for extended periods while performing laboratory tasks. The job requires the ability to lift and move boxes that may weigh up to 50 pounds

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
