Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Job Description

Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. This role involves working closely with Project Designers and Project Engineers to develop accurate and complete drawings and documents.

Responsibilities

+ Work with Lead Project Designers and Project Engineers to develop drawings and documents per project specifications and scope.

+ Create approval drawings, shop drawings, and field drawings per project scope.

+ Complete control sheets after each design along with the completed drawings.

+ Ensure that the serial number sheet is completed before product delivery when required.

+ Fill out purchase order requisitions as needed.

+ Create resource in Syteline and update control sheets when released to the shop.

+ Obtain signed approvals and release drawings to the shop floor as directed.

+ Make revisions to drawings as directed by Engineering or Lead Project Designer.

+ Take ownership of assignments to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and documents per specifications.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, Associate degree from a two-year Technical College, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Training or experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

+ Experience with drafting, 3D modeling, CAD, mechanical design, sheet metal design, and machine design.

+ At least 1 year of experience as a mechanical designer.

+ At least 1 year of experience with AutoCAD.

+ At least 1 year of experience with SolidWorks.

Work Environment

The Engineering team consists of 10 people and is looking to add to the design group. The company is family-owned and offers a flexible work environment. The role involves using advanced design software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and collaborating closely with a dedicated team of professionals.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.00/hr.
