    Responsible for ensuring that production staff are following GMP requirements. Calibrate instruments such as viscosity meters, pH meters, and brix meters. Conduct pH titrations, viscosity, and physical testing on products. Assist with wet chemistry testing and call production holds when products are out of specification. Follow HACCP programs.

    + Follow HACCP programs.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 2 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing setting with compounding, filling, and labeling.

    + Experience in the OTC drug, pharmaceutical, and/or dietary supplements industry. Candidates from the food and cosmetic industry will also be considered.

    + Strong understanding of documentation.

    + Ability to understand and operate fill lines, packaging, and labeling processes.

    + Experience with quality control testing, including ATP, environmental testing, pH, and viscosity.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma.

    + Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

    + Experience in a fast-paced environment.

    + Ability to bring a new perspective and be a go-getter.

    + Understanding of the production process from start to finish.

    Work Environment

    This site produces essential oils, mouthwashes (with a minty smell), and other OTC products that are dietary supplements. Some cosmetic manufacturing will also be brought in-house. The Quality Control Technician will report directly to the manager and work within a team of 6 people, including 2 QC Technicians in Compounding and 2 QC Technicians performing testing on the production floor. This role is responsible for overseeing 3 production lines. The work environment includes long overlapping shifts covering 4am - 7pm. Initially, the schedule will be 9am - 5:30pm for 2-3 weeks of training, followed by a shift from 4am - 12:30pm, with potential for full 12-hour shifts based on performance. Note that some products contain sesame oil, but not on a daily basis.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $47840.00/yr.
