    Job Title: EstimatorJob Description

     

    Perform detailed concrete takeoffs using project plans and specifications to estimate material quantities and costs. Set up new projects in Procore and QuickBooks, ensuring all documentation and systems are ready for smooth execution. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for material procurement, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely deliveries. Assist with project coordination tasks, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication between project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors. Utilize takeoff software such as ProEst to improve efficiency and accuracy in the estimating process. Send out 3-5 bids per week. This role consists of 90% estimating and 10% project management/coordination.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up new projects in Procore and QuickBooks, ensuring all documentation and systems are ready for smooth execution.

    + Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for material procurement, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely deliveries.

    + Assist with project coordination tasks, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication between project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors.

    + Utilize takeoff software such as ProEst to improve efficiency and accuracy in the estimating process.

    + Send out 3-5 bids per week.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of concrete estimating experience.

    + Experience with estimating software (ProEst, Trimble, Autodesk).

    + Proficiency in taking off all the way to final bid, including reaching out to vendors, checking prices, and going through spec books.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with project coordination.

    + Strong communication and negotiation skills.

    Work Environment

    The company employs 60 people, including 7 foremen, 1 other estimator, 1 owner, 1 payroll specialist, and 1 office manager, with the rest working in the field. This position is 100% office-based with no travel or site work required. The majority of projects are in Kentucky, with a few in Tennessee, Indiana, and West Virginia. The company offers a startup feel with significant involvement in business decisions.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00/hr.
