Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Our Mechanical Engineers research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and services. These cover a wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems. Your technical duties include the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities

+ Conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems.
+ Design and develop new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
+ Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Essential Skills
+ Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
+ Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools (CATIA V5/V6 preferred).
+ Experience with other programs such as Solidworks, CREO, or NX if no CATIA experience.
+ Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
+ Experience with Commercial Derivative Aircraft.
+ Familiarity with applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
+ Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis.
+ Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
Work Environment
You will be part of a Mechanical Engineering Team currently consisting of 12 people. You will occasionally be required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs. The role involves frequent hand and finger dexterity activities and rarely lifting up to 20 lbs. Exposure to outdoor elements, fumes, hazardous materials, and loud noises is rare.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.51 - $59.10/hr.
