    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform field observation and testing during the placement of construction materials, including soil, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel. Key responsibilities include:

     

    + Conducting field tests and observations to ensure compliance with project specifications.

    + Preparing detailed reports documenting observations and test results.

    + Facilitating and maintaining strong relationships with contractors.

    + Communicating effectively with contractors and engineers to discuss findings and test results.

    + Performing basic mathematical computations related to testing and reporting.

     

    Skills and Qualifications

     

    + Proficiency in construction materials testing, including soil, concrete, and asphalt.

    + ACI certification and NICET certification.

    + Experience with nuclear density gauge, soil compaction, and soil sampling.

    + Familiarity with reporting software and geotechnical testing.

    + Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with contractors and engineers.

    + Experience with dam construction projects is a plus.

    + ACI certification required, ICC certifications are a huge plus

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $31.00/hr.
