    We are seeking an Entry-Level Chemist to join our dynamic team. You will be a key contributor within the laboratory, focusing on safety, maintenance, operation, and quality assurance. This role involves preparing and analyzing samples and solutions, performing sample preparation for metals analysis, and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent chemistry graduate to grow and develop their skills in a supportive and innovative environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Work under immediate supervision.

    + Contribute to laboratory safety, maintenance, operation, and quality assurance.

    + Ensure the lab is stocked with appropriate chemicals and supplies.

    + Prepare samples and solutions, including volumetric and gravimetric solutions.

    + Accurately prepare samples, standards, and solutions for analysis, including basic and advanced sample extractions.

    + Perform sample preparation for metals analysis using acid digestion and microwave-assisted digestion.

    + Prepare samples and titration units for various titration methods.

    + Set up, adjust, and operate basic laboratory equipment following defined methods in support of projects within the trace metals and titrations laboratories.

    + Perform general lab housekeeping, including analytical waste disposal, cleaning glassware, and ordering supplies as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, general sciences, or chemical engineering.

    + Experience with HPLC, wet chemistry, ion chromatography, or ICP.

    + Experience in research and analysis, lab techniques, mass spectrometry, or GCMS.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience as a chemist, ideally with a year of hands-on experience.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Willingness to ask questions and continuously learn and grow as a scientist.

    Work Environment

    The company fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth. The role is located in the west part of Allentown, and you will be part of a team of about 40 employees. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, or 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. This is a first-shift position in a supportive environment that encourages development and innovation.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
