    Job Title: Boiler Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Boiler Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience logging readings in a log book, inspecting worksites for potential problems, and providing excellent customer service. The Boiler Operator will be responsible for visual safety inspections of the area, documentation of pressure and temperature, and recording data in log books and log sheets at various sites on campus.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct visual safety inspections of boiler areas.

    + Document pressure and temperature readings.

    + Record data in log books and log sheets.

    + Inspect worksites for potential problems.

    + Provide customer service during visits to different sites on campus.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in logging readings in a log book.

    + Ability to inspect worksites for potential problems.

    + Customer service experience.

    + Boiler maintenance.

    + Monitoring boiler functions.

    + Mechanical and preventive maintenance skills.

    + Experience with compressors.

    + NJ Blue Seal license

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a multi-city university that never closes. Employees of the facility department are considered essential and must ensure the university remains open.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, New Jersey.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
