    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to work on Homag Wood CNC Machines. This position is for the 2nd shift, operating from 2:00 PM to midnight (Monday to Thursday, with occasional Friday shifts from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM). The role involves working with three CNC Homag Machines to support our growing business. The successful candidate will handle product line machining, setups, and changeovers as required. The CNC Machinist will be involved in cutting laminate boards, cleaning surface edges, and drilling holes for office and school furniture products.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate CNC Homag Machines on the 2nd shift.

    + Perform setups and changeovers on CNC machines.

    + Understand and manage product lines that need machining.

    + Conduct visual inspections of machined products.

    + Read and interpret blueprints.

    + Handle CNC programming and tooling changes.

    + Ensure quality and consistency in machining various furniture products.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with CNC machining.

    + Proficiency in CNC machine setup and operation.

    + Ability to change tooling and perform visual inspections.

    + Skilled in CNC programming.

    + Competence in reading blueprints.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is based in a small CNC shop located in Saranac. The shop is uniquely situated between two farm homes owned by the family running the business. The work takes place in several large barn-like buildings with a charming rural setting, including friendly cats that roam the area.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
