Job Title: Overhead Crane Operator - 1st shift - Starting at $19/hr!

Responsibilities

+ Operate various machines in the facility.

+ Operate a double hoist crane to move steel.

+ Operate a blasting machine by pressing buttons and monitoring the process.

+ Operate a saw for cutting steel after training.

+ Use measurements in fractions and decimals for precise cutting.

+ Utilize a tape measure to measure cuts.

+ Learn to use a crane to load and unload parts.

+ Maintain cleanliness of the general area.

+ Assist other departments as needed.

+ Read and understand customer specifications.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing experience.

+ Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

+ Good math skills, particularly with fractions and decimals.

+ Willingness to learn and operate different machines (shot blasting, saw, crane, etc.).

+ Willingness to work in a dirty environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate controlled environment within a steel manufacturing facility. The standard shift is from 6:00am to 3:30pm. Training will be provided on the first shift for 3-4 weeks. If necessary, accommodations can be made for candidates who can only work the third shift. Initially, steel-toed shoes are acceptable for the first 30 days, after which metatarsal boots are required. The dress code includes wearing pants and t-shirts, with no ripped or loose clothing allowed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
