    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable forklift operator/material handler/order selector to join our team. The successful candidate will operate sit down and high reach forklifts, reaching heights of up to 35 feet. This position is available on the 1st shift (8 AM - 4:50 PM). The role involves handling materials, loading and unloading trucks, and transporting fully assembled pallets to the shipping/receiving area.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate sit down and high reach forklifts.

    + Bring materials to and from storage areas and machinery.

    + Transport fully assembled pallets to the shipping/receiving area.

    + Load and unload bar, tubing, structural, plate, and sheet from trucks.

    + Place materials in storage or remove from storage to process customer orders.

    + Process orders using saws, tube cut off machines, and order filling.

    + Load and unload trucks using handling equipment.

    + Remove material from stocking locations using overhead crane, jib crane, side loader, order pickers, or forklift.

    + Operate saw or other equipment to process, package, and load material.

    + Receive, inspect, and verify material counts.

    + Maintain a safe and clean work area in the warehouse and storage areas.

    + Perform other duties as assigned if qualified.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ year of experience operating sit down and high reach forklifts.

    + Ability to use a tape measure, micrometer, and calipers.

    + Experience reading blueprints and schematics.

    + High school diploma or equivalent training and experience.

    + Experience with grinding, metal grinding, and deburring.

    + Knowledge of CNC operations.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean, well-lit environment that is not climate controlled but comfortable. The facility houses about 25 employees. Safety gear, including steel toes, hard hats, safety vests, safety glasses, and ear plugs, will be provided.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.25/hr.
