    Job Title: Class A CDL Driver

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Class A CDL Driver to join our team at a food distribution center. This role involves driving automatic transmission vehicles and assisting with unloading at customer sites, including food pantries.

    Responsibilities

    + Drive Class A CDL vehicles with automatic transmission.

    + Assist with unloading deliveries at customer sites, including food pantries.

    + Operate warehouse equipment such as sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.

    + Utilize the computerized Warehouse Management System for inventory control.

    + Maintain strong attendance and organizational skills.

    + Work effectively in a team environment and interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds.

    + Work in various environments within the warehouse, including general storage, coolers, and freezers.

    + Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

    + Maintain flexibility in schedule to accommodate agency needs.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + At least two years of work experience or a combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    + Valid driver's license.

    + Experience in warehouse operations and inventory control.

    + Familiarity with a computerized Warehouse Management System.

    + Experience operating a sit-down forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.

    + Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.

    + Ability to meet crises calmly and show attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    + Ability to work in various warehouse environments, including general storage, coolers, and freezers.

    + Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

    + Flexible schedule to meet agency needs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 3 - 5 years of work experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.

    + Strong customer service expertise.

    + Food safety experience.

    + Knowledge of Foodbank programs and the mission of Foodbanks.

    + Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based at a more rural and older site of our food distribution center. The work environment includes freezer, cold storage, and dry side areas, so candidates must be comfortable working in all three.

    This is a Permanent position based out of La Crosse, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $49920.00/yr.
