    Job Title: Building Engineer

    Job Description

    As a Building Engineer, you will monitor building system operations and performance, utilizing skills in plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling on equipment such as air handlers, chillers, pumps, valves, and more. You will organize and perform a preventative maintenance schedule, manage an energy management program to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and maintain the building lighting system and oversee controls.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor building system operations and performance using skills such as plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling on equipment like air handlers, chillers, pumps, and valves.

    + Organize and perform a preventative maintenance schedule.

    + Manage an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems efficiently to minimize operating costs.

    + Maintain the building lighting system and oversee controls.

    Essential Skills

    + Troubleshooting

    + Electrical

    + Mechanical

    + Building maintenance

    + Building management systems (BMS)

    + 4+ years of experience in a maintenance mechanic or building engineer role

    + Experience with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) and working off work orders

    + Facilities maintenance

    + Preventive maintenance

    + Control systems

    + HVAC system

    + Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Outlook

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including customer service

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with on-call work preferred for unexpected emergency situations

    Work Environment

    **The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm** .

     

    You will be based at the CityPoint cluster of buildings in Waltham. This role involves being on your feet for the majority of the day. The buildings are part of a renowned real estate company.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr.
