    Job Title: Production Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and hard-working Production Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various harvest activities such as preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing. You will also be involved in return and rework activities, quality analysis & control activities, field management activities, and warehousing activities. This is a seasonal position, estimated to last 6-8 months, with the potential to transition into a long-term opportunity for employees with excellent production and attendance.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform harvest activities including preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing.

    + Engage in return and rework activities.

    + Conduct quality analysis and control activities.

    + Participate in field management activities.

    + Support warehousing activities.

    + Operate and maintain production machinery.

    + Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

    + Work flexible shifts based on business needs.

    Essential Skills

    + Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or farming.

    + Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift depending on team assignment.

    + Comfortable working indoors or outdoors regardless of weather conditions.

    + Physical capability to perform strenuous work.

    + Steel or composite-toe shoes required.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in shipping and receiving.

    + Knowledge of warehouse operations.

    + Proficiency in forklift operation (training provided).

    + Experience in general labor, farming, landscaping, or lawn care.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a fully on-site position in Tipton, IN, based in an agricultural site. The work is physical and strenuous, requiring the use of PPE including a hard hat, safety vest, work gloves, and hearing protection. Employees must wear steel or composite-toe shoes at all times. During the peak season (September through March), the role may require flexible shifts and occasional overtime. During the off-peak months (April through August), the work schedule typically shifts to an 8-hour day schedule. Candidates should be open to at least two shifts during the harvest season and expect to work overtime, particularly from July to October. The first 5 days of training will be on 1st shift, with a mix of classroom presentations and on-the-job training on the production floor.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TIPTON, IN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
