Job Title: Die Setter
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Die Setter to join our team. You will work directly with the Die Repair team and Operators on the 2nd shift, ensuring the smooth operation of our stamping processes.
Responsibilities
+ Set up stamping dies and ensure proper setup of dies and equipment.
+ Utilize knowledge of progressive and transfer presses.
+ Change tools and troubleshoot shut heights.
+ Set the next die onto the press and secure it in place.
+ Clean press bolster and ram before die setup, and clean die parallels.
+ Set up conveyors as per instructions.
+ Remove scrap from dies post-production and store them correctly.
+ Unhook transfer system items and store them properly.
+ Set up jobs in the press, including die and equipment setup, and obtain first piece approvals.
+ Competently operate an overhead crane.
Essential Skills
+ Forklift Certification
+ 4+ years experience as a metal stamping die setter on progressive dies
+ Past Forklift/Crane Certification
+ Experience with setting up and adjusting dies, jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools of progressive dies
+ Understanding and troubleshooting shut heights
+ Experience with progressive dies of 400 to 2200 tonnage
+ Strong safety knowledge when setting dies and operating a forklift/crane
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
+ Experience with Schuler Press
+ Ability to process and identify defective items/parts
+ Experience with quality inspection/assurance (mics, calipers & gages)

Work Environment
Work in a well-established company that has recently expanded its operations into the USA. The facility is undergoing renovations to improve its environment and is equipped with stamping and robotic welding capabilities. Enjoy a first-shift schedule from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Warren, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $54080.00/yr.
Working thru new benefits package and working with the US to match the market
Starting from the ground up; would help get to make the plant what it is.
They just launched their 2nd shift; would eventually launch 3rd shift by Q4 / Q1 2025
