    Job Title: Bookbinder

    Job Description

    As a Bookbinder, you will be responsible for setting up and controlling the assigned machine for each specified job. Your role includes maintaining the machine through regular maintenance, ensuring it is ready to run product, and keeping a clean and neat work area. You will check and control the quality of the product on a running basis and manage Technicians to maintain high levels of productivity using the proper materials. You are expected to run the machine at optimal production speeds according to goals set by the Bindery Manager or Supervisor, and seek assistance when necessary to solve setup and running problems.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and direct Technicians regarding material use for productivity.

    + Run machine at optimal production speeds as per specified goals.

    + Seek assistance to resolve setup and running issues affecting production speeds.

    + Provide feedback to management and supervision about machine slowdowns or issues.

    + Participate in regular evaluations of Technicians.

    + Perform special duties assigned by the Bindery Manager and/or Supervisor.

    + Perform all duties safely and in accordance with safety rules and requirements.

    + Maintain a positive customer relations approach toward visitors, customers, and employees.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with stitching and/or bindery machinery (at least 1+ years).

    + Ability to utilize logic and conceptual thinking skills.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    + Effective and clear written and oral communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    + Willingness to work weekends, overtime, or respond to manufacturing questions as needed.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a climate-controlled facility with brand new bindery equipment. We offer multiple shifts: 1st shift (7am - 3pm), 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) with a $1 shift premium, and 3rd shift (11pm - 7am) with a $1.25 shift premium.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $54600.00 - $70000.00/yr.
