    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators to join our team across various shifts. The Machine Operator will be responsible for the technical operation, set-up, basic adjustments, and performance levels for all packaging and candy-making equipment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Correlate production tallies with the Production Supervisor.

    + Perform packaging and processing operations.

    + Maintain clear, open, and positive communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.

    + Follow established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures to assure product quality.

    + Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.

    + Maintain cleanliness of work area and machinery; perform specified cleaning tasks at end of product run and shift.

    + Oversee production workers' end-of-shift sanitation duties.

    + Offer suggestions to management on improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions.

    + Perform and record hourly metal detector checks, package verification checks, and weight checks as assigned.

    + Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control as requested.

    + Maintain flexibility to perform other duties as assigned, such as acting as a Production Worker in various roles.

    Essential Skills

    + Fundamental knowledge to read work-related material and follow directions.

    + Working knowledge of assigned areas, acquired through 1 to 4 years of applicable experience.

    + Understanding of mechanical components and/or electronic controls of the equipment.

    + Knowledge of chocolate composition, function, and troubleshooting.

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to perform as a team member and support co-workers, company policy, and production standards.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment requires the use of PPE such as ear plugs, safety-toed shoes, jackets, and hair and beard nets. It is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, although not climate-controlled. The facility handles products similar to Hershey's bars, pretzels, and coconut bars.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $41600.00/yr.
