Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The candidate will be working on the production line for a new ramp-up project. They will be assembling materials and operating machines. Once the parts are lifted off the line, they will inspect them and put them in a box for shipment. The role also includes assembling components and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble materials and operate machines on the production line.

+ Inspect parts after they are lifted off the line.

+ Pack inspected parts for shipment.

+ Assemble components as needed.

+ Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Essential Skills

+ 6 months of recent experience in a manufacturing.

+ Experience in a production worker, operator, assembler, or warehouse position within the last 6 months.

+ Ability to lift 40 lbs.

+ Visual inspection experience, identifying defects such as scratches, paint marks, and dents.

+ Longevity at each job, with at least 8 months or longer at past three jobs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanical skills.

+ Experience in machine operating.

Employees receive a shift premium even while training during the day. Monthly attendance bonuses of $60 are available once direct. There is a profit-sharing program at the end of each year based on attendance, performance, and safety, ranging from $600 to $1300 depending on company performance.

Work Environment

The work environment is currently under renovation, but it will eventually be much cleaner. The team consists of a 6-person operation. Work attire includes work pants, work shirt, closed-toe shoes, safety glasses, and a face mask. Drug tests and waivers are required. Shifts available are: 1st shift (6:30am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (2:30pm-10:30pm), and 3rd shift (10:30pm-6:30am). Must be able to work Sunday through Saturday, currently on a 6-7 day schedule. Overtime may be required during the launch period.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TROY, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.35/hr.
