Job Description:

Provide virtualization engineer advisory and assistance services support to USSTRATCOM J61 Architecture and Engineering Division.** **This is a Mon – Fri, 8 – 5 role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

+ Design, implement, and sustain hyper-converged enterprise infrastructure solutions.

+ Manage and optimize Broadcom’s VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform.

+ Support Omnissa Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies, including Horizon, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE.

+ Provide technical expertise in virtualized infrastructure, supporting modern mission-critical IT systems.

+ Collaborate with USSTRATCOM’s J61 Division on architecture, engineering, and modernization efforts

Required Qualifications

+ Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as an IT Systems Engineer (SE).

+ Experience must include Requirements Tradeoff, Cost Estimation, Technical Assessments, Technical Planning, Configuration Control Boards, Capabilities Based Assessments, Integrated Baseline Review, Lifecycle Sustainment Planning, Information Assurance / Cybersecurity, Requirements Traceability, Systems Engineering Plan, Work Breakdown Structure, Technical Audits

+ Minimum of one (1) year of experience or documented training in designing, deploying, and maintaining systems and capabilities

+ Must be able to obtain certification meeting 8140 series requirements within 6-months of notification

+ Minimum of five (5) years’ experience demonstrating written and oral communication skills including developing and presenting complex written products and oral briefings to senior leaders at the O-6/GS-15 level or higher

+ Senior-level specialized knowledge, skillset, and experience in designing, implementing, and sustaining hyper-converged enterprise infrastructure solutions

+ Experience with current USSTRATCOM enterprise virtualization tools including Broadcom’s VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform and Omnissa VDI technologies (Horizon, App Volumes, Workspace One)

+ Must possess an active intermediate or higher technical certification such as VMware Certified Professional or Equivalent certification from other virtualization vendors
