    **Job Title:** Payroll Coordinator/Human Resources

    **Job Summary** : EMCOR Service Fagan has an immediate opportunity for a Payroll Coordinator/Human Resources at our Kansas City, KS headquarters.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    + Process bi-weekly payroll - Including timesheet collection, data entry of time, printing, sorting, direct deposits and check distribution

    + Process payroll withholding taxes, and garnishments (including child support) on a bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis

    + Prepare weekly and bi-weekly employee reports for corporate compliance

    + Prepare, maintain and process annual W-2 reports including distribution

    + Weekly and monthly job cost journal entries along with other accounting functions as directed by the CFO

    + Weekly general ledger entries and reconciliation of numerous GL accounts

    + Inputs employee changes, corrections and additions

    + Maintain a professional relationship with employees, vendors, and internal companies acting as the authorized point of contact or subject matter expert for payroll-related matters

    + Maintain confidentiality and share information with authorized employees who have access to privileged and confidential information

    + Support, set priorities and resolve issues consistent with Company standards, policies, procedures, and protecting others Personal Identifiable Information (PII)

    + Make well-informed decisions, prioritize work, ensure proper documentation processes, and meet payroll deadlines

    + Serves as Company Benefits Administrator

    + Administrator of Company’s Substance Abuse Programs

    + Reports to the CFO and President

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    + Minimum of 2 years experience working with payroll or similar, preferably with other mechanical, construction or union contractors

    + Bachelor’s Degree in business from an accredited College or University preferred

    + Working knowledge of the construction industry, operations management, and safety practices a plus

    + Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Excel

    + Ability to communicate effectively with various departments and outside vendors

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; move within the office to meet with employees. This position requires ability to work at a computer (reading and keying) for extended periods of time. This role requires communicating verbally and in writing one on one.
