    TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. TAK’s ecosystem of partners allows it to successfully complete every project starting from the first point of conception. This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.

     

    We are seeking an experienced **Director of Operations** to join our team. This role provides strategic leadership and oversight for all construction and field service operations, ensuring alignment with company goals, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The Director will drive cross-functional collaboration, optimize processes for scalability, and lead teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective results while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    The Role

    + Provide strategic leadership and direction for daily operations across all construction and field service functions

    + Design and implement operational procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with industry standards

    + Lead cross-functional coordination with Project Management, Engineering, and Safety teams to support project success

    + Develop long-term operational plans that support company growth, scalability, and process optimization

    + Monitor and manage operational budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and maximizing cost efficiencies

    + Ensure all field activities comply with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

    + Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of accountability and excellence

    + Analyze operational performance data to guide strategic decision-making

    + Mentor and support the development of operations managers and team leads

    + Oversee the performance review process, goal-setting, and employee development programs

    + Represent operations in executive meetings and contribute to organizational planning

    + Perform additional duties as assigned

    Requirements

    + 8+ years of leadership experience in telecommunications, construction operations, or a related field

    + Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Construction Management, or a related field a plus

    + Strong record of operational strategy execution and team development

    + Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, meet deadlines, and enforce compliance

    + Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

    + Proficiency in operations management systems and standard business software, Google Suite, MS Office

    + Relevant experience in telecommunications, construction operations, or a comparable industry is highly valued

    + Thorough knowledge of operational best practices, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance is essential

    + Demonstrated ability to apply practical skills and experience to fulfill the core responsibilities of the role

    + Certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma are a plus

    + Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving

    + Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
