    **Waste Connections** has an immediate opening for a **Local Truck Driver** at our site in Gilmer, TX. In this position you will be operating a garbage truck on specified routes collecting garbage and transporting to our transfer station. This job is **_extremely_** physical and does require working outside in all weather conditions.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    + This is a position requiring regular heavy lifting and climbing in and out of the truck.

    + This position will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously serving customers.

    + This is a full time, year round position. A typical schedule for this position is Monday – Friday with a 6:00 AM start time typically working 9+ hour days.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    + Valid Class A or B CDL

    + Have at least 1+ year of driving experience as well as a stable work history, preferably in a driver position.

    + Clean Driving Record

    + Able to lift 50+ pounds.

    + Able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
