Title: APS WEB CONTENT SPECIALIST Location: United States-Virginia-Virginia Beach Job Number: 25000198 Job Summary: Responsible for managing Navy Exchange inventory assets by supporting and advancing NEXCOM shrink initiatives through web application development and training. This position plays a key role in creating, improving, and maintaining web-based tools and content in support of the Asset Protection & Safety (AP&S) Department's mission and goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain web applications that support AP&S initiatives. Partner with Human Resources to create web-based training and awareness programs focused on shrink prevention. Develop and manage content for Code S web platforms; research and synthesize information to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and tailored to the intended audience. Regularly update and revise online content to ensure accuracy and relevance. Serve as the AP&S representative on NEXCOM committees or initiatives involving web strategy or execution. Manage Code S SDM Ticket processes, including creation, follow-up, and approvals. Generate reports, dashboards, and scorecards using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams), SQL Report Builder, Power BI, or similar tools. Stay informed of AP&S policy and management initiatives; provide recommendations to integrate web tools with broader departmental goals. Create and maintain documentation, reports, and presentations as required. Support administrative tasks including payroll, travel, purchase orders, and payments. Perform other related duties as assigned. Security Clearance Requirement: This is a non-critical sensitive national security position. The selected candidate must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a Tier 3 (or equivalent) Personnel Security Investigation, granting eligibility for assignment and continued employment in a sensitive national security position. Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of employment. Qualifications: Experience Requirements: A total of four (4) years of experience , consisting of the following: General Experience (Three Years Required): Three (3) years of administrative, professional, operational, or technical experience that demonstrates: Skills in project coordination , schedule management , and written communication Strong organizational abilities Proven capability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage concurrent projects Effective interpersonal communication and the ability to exercise sound judgment in professional settings OR Substitution of Education for Experience: One (1) year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for nine (9) months of general experience Up to a bachelor’s degree in English , Journalism , or a related field may be substituted for up to three (3) years of general experience Specialized Experience (One Year Required): One (1) year of progressively responsible experience that includes: In-depth knowledge of web-based content applications and report/data management Familiarity with retail and/or service operations , including related policies and procedures Experience that clearly demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the specific duties of this position .
