This is an Adjunct Faculty Certified Nurses Aid Instructor position.

JOB OVERVIEW
The part-time Certified Nurses Aid (CNA) instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students pursuing a CNA certificate. As an instructor, you will facilitate learning, provide guidance, and assess students' progress. This position typically requires a strong background in CNA, along with excellent communication and teaching skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Course Delivery: Conduct engaging and informative classroom lectures, demonstrations, and discussions on various topics related to CNA. Use a variety of instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
+ Curriculum Development: Assist in the enhancement of the CNA curriculum by offering feedback on curriculum to ensure it is comprehensive and current.
+ Student Assessment: Evaluate student performance through various assessments, such as quizzes, homework, and practical demonstrations. Provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments to support students' learning and development.
+ Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation. Manage classroom activities, maintain discipline, and address student concerns or issues appropriately.
+ Individualized Support: Offer individualized guidance and support to students, addressing their academic and professional needs. Provide additional assistance, tutoring, or resources to help students succeed in their studies and career aspirations.
+ Lab and Clinical Supervision: Oversee students during lab sessions and clinical experiences, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and proper utilization of medical equipment. Guide students in performing various procedures and techniques within the scope of practice for CNA.
+ Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in CNA practices, technology, and regulations. When possible, participate in professional development activities, such as workshops, conferences, and continuing education, to enhance instructional skills and knowledge.
+ Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative responsibilities, including maintaining accurate attendance records, and grading assignments. Collaborate with program coordinators and administrative staff on program-related matters.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
+ Relevant Education: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. A minimum of an associate degree in nursing. Higher degrees and certifications are advantageous.
+ Industry Experience: Have at least three years practical experience working as a CNA and/or nurse in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with current CNA practices, procedures, and regulations is essential.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
+ Teaching Skills: Demonstrate effective teaching and instructional techniques, including the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner. Experience student assessment is preferred.
+ Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with students from diverse backgrounds. Actively listen to students' concerns and provide constructive feedback.
+ Organization and Time Management: Display strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Meet deadlines and ensure a well-structured and efficient learning environment.
+ Technology Competence: Proficiency in using educational technology, such as learning management systems, presentation software, and online resources, to enhance instruction and support student learning.
+ Professionalism: Uphold a professional demeanor, demonstrating integrity, ethical conduct, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Foster a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
