    Description

    Position Summary:The Construction Assistant in this position will aid in the refurbishing, remodeling, and routine maintenance of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities. Essential Job Functions include:

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Provides assistance in new construction, refurbishing, remodeling, and the regular maintenance of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities;• Provide general labor assistance in FitzHouse projects;• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites;• Operate basic hand and power tools safely;• Communicate effectively with supervisors, subcontractors, and team members.• Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation;• Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Essential Qualifications:

    Certifications/Licensures:•Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance isrequired.

     

    Education:•High school Diplomas or GED equivalentrequired.

     

    Experience and Competencies:•Basic knowledge of remodeling and construction techniques and tools required;•Ability to work independently and as part of the team required;•Experience in facility operation and maintenance required;•Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion required;•Ability to be aware of and adhere to specific timeframes and time limitations required;•Ability to utilize office equipment and programs, such as printers, scanners, phones, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc. required;•Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality required;
