Summary:
Meta is seeking AI Specialists with expertise in the Computer Vision and/or Multimodal domain to join our applied research team in the Creators pillar. We push boundaries across multiple modalities (e.g., video, audio, image, behavior understanding). You will contribute to advancing state-of-the-art machine learning research and apply it to drive product innovation across our Family of Apps.
Required Skills:
Research Engineer, Computer Vision - Creators Responsibilities:
1. Train models for image/video/audio/behavior understanding.
2. Apply relevant AI and machine learning techniques to build intelligent rich perception systems that improve Meta's products and experiences.
3. Develop algorithms based on state-of-the-art machine learning and neural network methodologies.
4. Conduct research that enables learning the semantics of data (images, video, text, audio and other modalities).
5. Develop custom/novel architectures, define use cases, and develop methodology & benchmarks to evaluate different approaches.
6. Apply in-depth knowledge of how the machine learning system interacts with the other systems around it.

7. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
8. 2+ years of industry experience in Generative AI, Computer Vision, or related fields.
9. Experience training Computer Vision or related AI/ML models.
10. Programming experience in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
11. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

12. Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field.
13. First-authored publications at peer-reviewed conferences (e.g. CVPR. ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, and SIGGRAPH).
14. Experience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and broad points of view to determine a path forward.
15. Experience working on product or product research teams.
16. Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment.
Public Compensation:
$56.25/hour to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
