Job Description

Provides financial analyses related to budgets, forecasting, allocation of expenses, ad hoc analysis for business case development and custom financial analyses, peer group analysis and internal consulting for all levels of management. Develops and maintains spreadsheets and statistical models for financial analysis. Prepares a variety of management presentations. Researches and resolves problems and errors in data from financial reporting systems. May provide assistance in the development of financial applications. May prepare interest rate pricing and forecasting information for use in asset and liability management. Financial and statistical data developed is used by management in policy setting and decision making.

This position is part of the Strategic Capital Management group that is responsible for capital expenditures for the Company. Responsible for moderately complex financial analysis activities. Generally responsible for support and analysis of capital expenditures projects submitted for review and approved by the Corporation's Strategic Investment Committee. Will include gathering and analyzing financial data, working with the sponsoring business lines and partners to ensure data is complete, accurate, in accordance with bank policies and logically presented. May be responsible for ad hoc reporting within the CapEx system for research or as requested by department management. Requires self-motivated, hardworking individual with the ability to work with various staff and management personnel levels of the Company. At times, will need to be able to work under limited supervision.

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

- Typically two or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures

- Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail

- Proficient in Excel and experience with Essbase desired

- Considerable knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and planning

- Expert ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data

- Excellent written and communication skills

- Banking or Financial services industry experience is a plus

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $81,515.00 - $95,900.00 - $105,490.00
