_REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:_
Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent and 5 years of related experience or Master's degree in basic science or equivalent and 3 years of related experience required.
_PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:_
Master's degree in degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in microfabrication, photolithography, and organ-on-chip device development.
• Background knowledge regarding AI/ML processes and software’s
• Proficiency in confocal microscopy techniques for imaging and analysis
• Strong background in cell culture, including primary cell culture and tissue engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills for presenting research findings and writing scientific reports.
_JOB SUMMARY:_
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate III to join our cutting-edge research team focused on developing organ-on-chip devices for modeling women’s reproductive tissues. This position requires expertise in microfabrication, photolithography, confocal microscopy, and cell culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioengineering, microfluidics, and tissue modeling, contributing to the advancement of personalized medicine and reproductive health research.
_MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:_
• Design, fabricate, and optimize organ-on-chip devices using microfabrication and photolithography techniques.
• Design and modify vasculature or fluid dynamics on-chip.
• Utilize 3D printer to create cell scaffolds.
• Conduct confocal microscopy imaging and analysis for tissue characterization.
• Perform primary and cell line cultures to support organ-on-chip experiments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, biologists, and clinicians to refine and validate chip functionality.
• Maintain laboratory protocols, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze experimental data, prepare reports, and contribute to scientific publications.
