JOB SUMMARY
The nursing assistant accepts responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care. The nursing assistant provides care under the supervision of the registered nurse by assisting with various activities to ensure quality care and a more efficient workplace.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education [formal]:
1.High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Successful completion of formal Nurse Aid course/training verified through transcript or original program certificate of completion, required.
OR
3. Currently enrolled in an A.D.N., B.S.N., program with successful completion of first semester of A.D.N. program, OR first year completion of nursing courses in BSN OR graduate of an A.D.N., Diploma, BSN or LPN program.
Experience:
Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
Special Skills and Competencies:
Annual assessment of competency is completed every year.
Must be able to read, write and/or speak English.
