    Description:

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, environmental services, etc.), ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as local, state, and federal codes.

    + Supervision and Leadership: Manage the facilities staff, including maintenance workers, groundskeepers, and any contracted services.

    + Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all systems and equipment to minimize downtime and emergency response.

    + Safety and Compliance: Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that the facility complies with OSHA standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.

    + Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency procedures for facility-related incidents, including power outages, fires, and natural disasters.

    + Vendor Management: Oversee external contractors for specialized services, ensuring quality and timeliness of work.

    + Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records for all facility-related inspections, repairs, and services. Provide regular reports to administration on operational status and needs.

    Qualifications:

    + Work requires thorough knowledge and skills equivalent to that normally acquired by completing a Bachelor's degree program.

    + Licensure as a professional engineer is highly desirable.

    + A minimum of 5 years of maintenance management experience is required.

    + Proven experience in facilities management or plant operations, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.

    + Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment.

    + Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    + Ability to handle multiple priorities and remain calm in emergency situations.

    + Knowledge of OSHA, safety, and compliance regulations.

    + A degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

    + Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for emergency situations or facility needs.

    **Pay Range:** $31.50 - $38.40

     

    Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
