Executive Foundation Director - HOSPICE
The Community Hospice Foundation has a rewarding opportunity for a Foundation Executive Director who has significant fundraising experience. The Foundation supports The Community Hospice which is a nonprofit hospice serving over 4,000 individuals across eight counties in the Capital Region area of Upstate New York. Our Foundation funds additional programs and services including community bereavement (all ages) to over 5,000 annually, massage and music therapy, a patient Wish Fund, community education, and more.
What you will do:
+ The Executive Director of the Foundation works with the Foundation Board of Directors, our health system Center for Philanthropy, and the leadership team to design and implement the Foundation’s annual plan to support the mission of our hospice, including directing a coordinated major gifts campaign, ongoing memorial giving, a direct mail/newsletter campaign, multiple fundraising events annually, and the identification and solicitation of funding sources for Community Hospice.
+ Coordinates with the Center for Philanthropy with regard to major donors, planned giving, grant solicitation, and donor database maintenance.
+ Responsible for supervision and management of Foundation Specialists and Data Analysts to achieve goals.
+ Responsible for the long range and strategic planning for The Community Hospice Foundation, ensuring that it is aligned with the vision and plans of our hospice.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree required; additional professional education, training, and accreditation in fund-raising and community relations preferred.
+ Significant fund-raising experience is a MUST
+ Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience required in a fund-raising and community relations setting, working with high-level stakeholders in both the general community and business arena. At least three (3) of these years must include supervisory experience.
+ Proven experience is required in annual and capital campaign fund-raising.
+ A strong record of performance in collaborating with volunteers and community leaders is essential.

_Pay Range: $45.91-$73.46_ _Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location._
