The Hotel Zamora, a beautiful boutique hotel located in St. Pete Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer. The Hotel Zamora is under new ownership and management with Sherman Associates, an accomplished and proven real estate development and management company. Besides relaxing in the beautifully appointed guest rooms, our guests experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Sidewalk Restaurant, Private Dining, and Meeting/Banquet space.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives is critical to overall success.
Schedule: We are currently seeking full-time availability to include both weekdays and weekends.
Essential Functions
+ Partners with the Director of Engineering to recruit, develop, manage and monitor performance while making any recommendations for disciplinary actions.
+ Proactively ensure proper department coverage aligned with business demands.
+ Ensure compliance with City and State ordinances.
+ Ensure compliance with Brand Standards.
+ Ensure the highest levels of productivity.
+ General maintenance and upkeep responsibilities including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, light carpentry and painting.
+ Responds to open work orders and resolves requests within 24 hours.
+ Assists in scheduling and completing preventive maintenance for buildings and building equipment.
+ Hands-on work of all building repairs, preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the facility with special attention to more involved operations or projects.
+ Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
+ Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
+ Walks property at regular intervals (daily) to ensure that the property is clean and orderly and in good maintenance condition.
+ Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
+ Other tasks as assigned including: plumbing, blueprint, electrical, city codes, environmental initiative and tracking
+ Maintains exterior grounds and interior common areas in quality, presentable condition.
+ Performs year-round grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal.
+ Completes additional duties as assigned.

+ Establishes and maintains effective business relationships.
+ Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.

+ Maintains a clean and safe work environment, follows all procedures for client and employee incidents and is knowledgeable for hotel emergency procedures.
+ Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws regarding health and safety services.
+ Attends all required department and company meetings.
Required Experience:
Minimum Requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related carpentry/construction. Ideally in hospitality or a related industry
+ Special boilers license or willingness to obtain one, if applicable
+ Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
