Job Description Summary

The Food Service Worker, under supervision, is responsible for preparing food and beverages to standardized recipes.

Responsibilities

+ Oversees maintenance of food service equipment.

+ Prepares food and beverages using standardized recipes.

+ Works in a 'team environment' to prepare and deliver food to clientele.

+ Verifies delivered supplies for quantity and quality. Supervises food storage and maintains inventory control.

+ Seeks client input regarding food quality and makes adjustments as needed.

+ Manages special diet requests, testing and modifying recipes to meet client needs.

+ Supervises and assigns duties to employees engaged in preparing, handling and serving food.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

+ High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ No prior experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Ability to operate custodial equipment.

+ Ability to establish effective working relationships.

+ Must be able to lift loads of 50-100 lbs.

+ Ability to stand on feet for prolonged periods.

+ Driver's License
