    Seeking Nurse Externs to join the Grand Strand Medical Center team!

     

    _As a paid Nurse Extern, you will work as a patient care tech, as well as function under the direct supervision of an RN and perform specific and assigned tasks._

    Available Units:

    + **Neuro/Stroke**

    + **Ortho**

    + **General Med/Surg**

     

    What qualifications you will need:?

     

    + **Must be** **currently** **enrolled in an approved** **RN Program** **and** **completed Fundamentals of Nursing**

    + **A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required**

    What you will do in this role:

    + **You will provide adequate daily patient care and report information to Team Leader.**

    + **You will provide a safe and confidential environment for the patient.**

    + **You will accept accountability for completion of assignments, demonstrate reliability and dependability, adhere to attendance policies, and utilize time and resources efficiently.**

    + **You will reflect the values of HCA Healthcare and our ethics and compliance principles in your daily activities (as stated in Code of Conduct).**

    + **You will commit to work 24 hours a month.**
