Job Summary

Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers' standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Tool and Die Maker must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting

+ Perform die set operations

+ Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies

+ Perform quality checks

+ Perform other duties as required

+ Tool and Die Maker must complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.

Qualifications

Required:

+ High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

+ Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar experience

+ Minimum 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive dies

+ Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework

+ Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc. ​

+ Be able to work 2nd shift

Preferred:

+ Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor
