Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a IT Manufacturing Developer specializing in COBOL for our aluminum manufacturing client based in Davenport Iowa. This position will entail managing the Davenport IT environments critical for manufacturing operations and overseeing the integraion of manufacturing applications with other systems. It involves leading production support teams, project deployment teams, and offshore development teams, ensuring their activities align with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The roles requires developing a deep understanding of the business processes within the manufacturing area of the company, guiding support team activities to meet SLA and customer satisfaction targets. Additionally, it includes developing and managing capital budget request documentation, proactively managing capital spend processes, and providing monthly capital expense forecasts for responsible projects. Ensuring project solutions comply with the company's standards, such as Our Company Self-Assessment Tests, ITAR, DFARS, and SOX, is also essential. The position involves performing risk management to minimize project risks, leveraging experience with B2B commerce partnerships and EDI deployments, and initiating innovation and change that delivers measurable value to the organization.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field

5+ years of experience working in an IT related role

Experience working with SQL/PLSQL and database query tools (SQL Developer and/or SQL+)

Experience with COBOL

Experience with VB .Net, C#, Java, or C development

Experience with IT Manufacturing Systems (supporting HR functions like overtime and attendance) Experience working in a manufacturing setting working with supply chain systems

Demonstrated application support and operations management experience

Multiple project management methodologies experience

Experience working with IT internal audit process

Knowledge of quality systems null
