Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Business Partner for a client of ours in Berkeley, CA. The Senior Employee Relations Business Partner is to provide subject matter expertise for Employee Relations issues. They will be responsible for investigating and responding to staff complaints and handling other complex, sensitive employee relations cases. Additionally, they will be responsible for building and maintaining effective programs to positively support staff and leadership team in the areas of performance management, employee retention, conflict resolution, and complaint response. This is a full onsite position in Berkeley, CA.

Skills and Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of recent experience handling Employee Relations, Labor Relations and workplace investigations
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, counseling, and negotiation skills with particular ability to handle sensitive issues in a positive and professional manner
- Knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices as well as current labor laws
- Demonstrated outstanding computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Human Resources Information System
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and their application
- Bachelors degree in human resources, Psychology or Business Administration - Masters in human resources, Management or Business Management
- Current or previous work experience in a non-profit or healthcare settings
- Experience working with unions
- Experience with diverse employee populations and multi-location organizations null
