S ummary
Entry - level environmental position (for non-engineers) for those w ith a bachelor' s degree.
Specialist Level 1 supports Project Management for permitting/design and construction project s /program s .
Responsibilities
Involved with supporting survey field efforts by working with technical leads to identify needs for survey crews.
Ensures th e team has tracked necessary equipment, reviewed and logged calibration requirements, and confirmed crews have safety plans and files daily logs.
Coordinates a nd attends meetings and assists in developing a tracking system to manage assignments.
Assists in preparing portions of reports and permit documents.
Works with GIS support to communicate any updates.
Education and Experience
Bachelors in Environmental Science/Environmental Technology/Environmental Management /Archaeology /Anthropology /Biology /Wildlife or an equivalent subject.
Masters preferred.
Various disciplines may be (but are not limited to) historic preservation and culture, as well as environmental resources, asbestos, lead, and hazardous m aterials.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
Competencies:
Intern experience is a plus.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Analytical ability, pro-active attitude, willingness to learn , and an ability to think "outside the box" when required.
