Interventional Radiology/Neuro Special Procedures Technologist

WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Plano is located at 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093
WORK SCHEDULE: FT, 40 Hours; 10 hour shifts, 6:30am-5:00pm, Monday – Friday with rotating days off; On call required (Must live within 30 minutes of Texas Health Plano)
Neuro Special Procedures Department highlights
* Newly build Hybrid Neuro room with expansion of second room this year
* Comprehensive Stroke Certification
* Ability to cross train within Heart & Vascular
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
* Completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required Or
* High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required.
* 1 year of vascular or cardiac angiography preferred.
* ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire required And
* GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist If ARRT Only Upon Hire preferred And
* BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
* Imaging Quality and Processing:
* Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.
* Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
* Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
* Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
