Position Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated and hands-on **Assistant Store Manager** to support the daily operations of our high-paced convenience store. In this key leadership role, you’ll partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, ensure top-notch customer service, and lead a team to success—all while maintaining operational excellence and store profitability. This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of **47 hours per week** and a strong commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Development:
+ Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring store associates and shift leaders.
+ Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that encourages staff growth and accountability.
+ Oversee scheduling and performance management, including coaching and annual evaluations.
+ Step in as the acting Store Manager when needed.
Customer Experience & Store Operations:
+ Lead by example by greeting all customers and setting a customer-first standard for the team.
+ Maintain exceptional store cleanliness, presentation, and merchandising standards.
+ Ensure a smooth and pleasant customer experience through effective service and store management.
Inventory & Financial Management:
+ Monitor daily sales, perform accounting procedures, and prepare timely deposits.
+ Manage lottery, ATM, fuel, and general merchandise inventory with precision.
+ Conduct regular price and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent loss.
+ Control inventory shrinkage to within 0.75% of sales and manage cash over/short to within $150 monthly.
Compliance & Reporting:
+ Ensure all safety, sanitation, and operational standards are met or exceeded.
+ Conduct daily fuel price surveys and submit daily reports and figures on time.
+ Report all maintenance and environmental issues promptly to the appropriate authorities.
Additional Duties:
+ Support marketing and promotional efforts as directed.
+ Assist with staffing needs across nearby store locations when required.
+ Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required.
+ Prior experience in retail or convenience store management strongly preferred.
+ Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
+ Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, and point-of-sale systems.
+ Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
+ Available to work weekends, holidays, and be reachable after hours as needed.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stretch, and access all areas of the store.
+ Must be able to move quickly and stand for long periods during shifts.

**Pay Details:** $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
