    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler for the 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 1:00 AM). This role involves using hand and power tools to assemble components based on blueprints. You will be primarily working with brakes and clutches used in various industries such as medical, agricultural, and government sectors. The products include surgical robots, gurneys, hospital beds, and MRI machines. This position offers opportunities for advancement to Electronic or Gearmotor assembly.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools.

    + Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.

    + Perform light mechanical assembly tasks.

    + Ensure precision and attention to detail in a low volume, high product mix environment.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Follow safety protocols and wear required protective equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience.

    + 6+ months of experience with measuring tools.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

    + Mechanical aptitude and inclination.

    + Experience with hand and power tools.

    + Ability to work independently and stay on task.

    + Must be able to speak in English

    Work Environment

     

    This is a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing environment with bench assembly for mechanical brakes, gear motors, and drives. You will work in a low volume, high product mix setting, assembling multiple products daily. The workspace is spacious and well-organized, with separated departments. You will stay relatively clean throughout your shift, wearing gloves to protect against oils and adhesives.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, Minnesota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $25.00/hr.
