    St. Mary’s Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Pediatrician to join our compassionate and collaborative Pediatrics team in Amsterdam, NY. In this full-time role, you’ll provide comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents while working alongside a supportive team of pediatricians, family medicine providers, and clinical staff.     Position Highlights:

    + Full-time, hospital-employed role within a well-established pediatric practice.

    + Collaborative, team-based environment with experienced pediatricians, family medicine providers, and support staff.

    Responsibilities:

    + Conduct thorough examinations on newborns and children, monitoring their health and physical development.

    + Reach informed diagnoses based on scientific knowledge and individual medical histories.

    + Prescribe medications with detailed instructions for administration and monitor their effectiveness.

    + Prepare and administer vaccines according to governmental vaccination plans.

    + Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop individualized treatment plans.

    + Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.

    + Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric care.

    Qualifications:

    Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York

     

    Preferred Experience - Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred but not required.

     

    Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution

     

    Skills -

     

    + Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

    + Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    + Base Salary Range - $183,844 - $281,750 (commensurate with experience).

    + Competitive compensation package, including base salary + sign-on bonus

    Complexity of Work:

    This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to manage a diverse pediatric patient population with varying health conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    Adherence to Standard Precautions and utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
