RESPONSIBILITIES
A $5,000 Sign-On bonus is available to external candidates only in exchange for a two (2) year employment commitment.
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages the daily operations and directs the administration, management, coordination and integration of programs, regarding patient care activities and services for the areas assigned.
• Ensures functions, services, programs, and activities support short and long-range strategic plans and meet the goals and objectives of The Queen’s Medical Center (QMC) and The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS).
• Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and policies and procedures of QMC and QHS.
• Develops, coordinates, implements, and assesses for effectiveness, programs and projects to promote, enhance, and expand services provided for areas assigned.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Frequent: walking.
• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
• Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printer.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Work environment is fast paced and may be stressful.
• Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at any given time.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing Healthcare Management or related field.
• Master’s degree in Business, Nursing, Healthcare Management or related field preferred.
• Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse highly desirable.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum two (2) years supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting, medical office or clinic environment.
• Experience to demonstrate the following:
o Solid knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) and/or other information systems functionality including access and maintenance of the system controls.
o Strong leadership, facilitation and project management skills.
o Skill in dealing with multi-disciplinary teams and an appreciation in working effectively with competing priorities.
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
