To support this mission, this position will be part of a team focused on thought-leadership, consulting, & support for Schwab’s financial planning, investing, & wealth management advice tools, with the goal to help our retail and advisory partners deliver, improve, and deepen advice to clients.
As part of the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR) this role will:
+ Maintain and support the SCFR Charts capability, including production of both the SCFR Chart Library, the SAM Chartbook, and various other offerings
+ Conduct quarterly performance reporting and analysis of fund managers
+ Analyze multiple asset classes and benchmarks
+ Provide expertise on new trends and innovation in product structures, asset allocation, rebalancing, and investment analysis
+ Make detailed presentations to the internal audience for training and other consultative purposes
+ Work with other internal teams to prepare content (training, education, articles, marketing collateral etc.) to help internal representatives and clients understand the broad range of investment solutions available
+ Respond to ad hoc requests from internal and external parties
What you have
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required with preference for majors in Economics, Accounting, Business or Finance.
+ At least four years of experience in financial services industry. Industry knowledge of advisor client interactions. Data analytic skills a strong plus.
+ The ability to collaborate with diverse business partners such as technology teams, marketing, product, and compliance teams.
+ Strong understanding of global investment markets including an understanding of underlying economic, fundamental, behavioral, and other factors. Ability to identify and evaluate intangible factors for performing data analysis and research.
+ Strong quantitative skills with a detailed understanding of Statistical concepts, Hands-on SAS, SQL, Excel, Monte Carlo Simulation, Security Analysis, Performance Reporting and Attribution.
+ Experience with the following tools required: MS Office, Tableau, Bloomberg terminal, and Morningstar Direct.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills with a focus on attention to details. Strong ability to verbally present material to small or large audiences and in-person or virtually.
Preferred Qualifications
+ CFP and/or CFA Charter holder or progress towards preferred.
+ A high comfort level with coding in VBA, Python, or R is a plus.
+ A well-organized self-starter with high energy and creativity, able to manage multiple tasks through prioritization.
+ Ability to network with senior team members internally and externally across departments.
+ A curious mindset that leads to new, creative approaches to solving problems and servicing business partners.
+ Traits: Adaptable, attention to detail, able to operate and embrace ambiguity, intellectual curiosity.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.

CO Salary Range: USD $66,900.00 - $136,800.00 / Year
