Job Description:
As a part of the financial aid advising and client services team, the Assistant Director of Financial Aid Advising provides student-centered and supportive financial aid advising to prospective and current students, with a special focus on students studying through regional campuses, eCampus and in certificate or other short-term programs. In advising regional campus students, this position will be poised to represent the needs of, and advocate on behalf of, regional campus students to Student Financial Aid leadership.
Provides direct advising to OHIO prospective and current students and families by appointment, walk-in, phone, and email. Advising includes details regarding types and terms of financial aid, affordability and costs, loan repayment, Satisfactory Academic Progress, and financial literacy. Resolves federal financial aid over awards, manages aid revisions, and tracks eligibility for various types of aid. Special focus is on students studying through regional campuses, eCampus and in certificate or other short-term programs
Regional Higher Ed – supports coordination and awarding of regional-specific endowed scholarships and limited centrally funded scholarships. Expected to provide financial aid-related support to all regional campuses, including required travel across campuses.
eCampus and short-term programs/certificates – support awarding and tracking of aid for students studying through eCampus programs, including with consortium agreements, and in certificate and short-term programs.
Outreach – present information regarding financial aid at various events and programming, including at high schools, related to FAFSA completion, recruitment, yield and orientation.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field conferred by start date and at least 3 years of related work experience. Types of relatable experience may include banking, education, accounting, and other fields that are customer service or program management.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Advertised Salary:
The hiring range for pay grade 15 is $43,888-$45,837. Salary is commensurate with education and experience, while also considering internal equity.
