    Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 6th Force Support Squadron Community Support Flight, Outdoor Recreation. Responsibilities Performs management functions for the Marina, FAM CAMP, Retail Outlet, and support operations of the Outdoor Recreation Complex. Prepares all paperwork to include daily consolidated cashier reports, receiving of merchandise and supply items and related daily paperwork. Assists in planning, coordinating, scheduling and supervising the assigned activities in accordance with established directives. Recommends changes to local policies, guidelines and operational procedures to achieve objectives and improve operational effectiveness. Assists in maintaining NAF and APF property listing for the Outdoor Recreation Area. Monitors Marina inventory system; receives incoming merchandise, completes necessary administrative requirements and enters information into the computer. Prepares Form 9's for purchase requests, maintains blanket purchase agreements, processes receiving reports, and verifies orders for accuracy. May assign personnel to specific duties and reassign employees consistent with workload and program requirements. Reviews and evaluates purchase of supplies, hazardous chemicals, equipment and resale merchandise. Prepares monthly income summary for supervisor. Assists in the development of administrative safeguards to protect funds, supplies, equipment and real property. Assists in preparation of budget, analyzes financial results and maintains solid financial condition of the Outdoor Recreation complex. Uses word processing, database and spreadsheet software to produce a variety of documents. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using personal computer or workstation that is networked to other computers or stations throughout the organization. Conducts special studies or reviews as assigned by the Director of Outdoor Recreation. In the absence of the Director of Outdoor Recreation, supervises the Outdoor Recreation activities. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience which reflects an awareness of boating/water safety skills and storage facilities. Must have computer skills with a working knowledge of word processing, data base and spread sheet software. Knowledge of the RECTRAC reservation system is desirable. Must understand proper cash handling procedures and have the ability to train others. Must have the ability to develop and express written and oral information to accomplish plans and tasks. Must be able to work independently with general guidance from Supervisor. Position of trust. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
