Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. In this role, you will manage key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and strong reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily reviews of bank transactions and client remittance data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Process and manage client remittance information and provide timely correspondence as needed.

• Serve as a backup for accounts payable and daily deposit applications, ensuring smooth workflow continuity.

• Cross-train with the Accounting Manager and Payment Processing team to support various accounting functions.

• Assist with month-end closing activities and other assigned accounting tasks.

• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records for reporting and audit purposes.

• Utilize accounting software, including Sage 100, to manage financial transactions and data.

• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency in accounting operations.

Requirements • Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage 100.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

• Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with Sage 100 is a plus but not required.
