    CD&A – Forecasting Manager, Oncology

     

    What you will do

     

    Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead demand forecasting and will report to the Director Customer Forecasting within the Global Customer Data & Analytics organization.

     

    Flexible Commuter role to Thousand Oaks, CA office. You will work on-site 2-3 days a week.

     

    + Independently craft, prepare, and maintain advanced forecast models (patient and demand-based forecasts and scenarios) for Amgen assets aligned to the needs of cross functional collaborators

    + Independently contribute to regular forecast cycles including multiple cycles of annual long-range forecast, and short-term forecast

    + Partner with the cross-functional team CD&A team to use forecasts to understand business performance and to respond to ad-hoc forecast requests

    + Perform in-depth data analysis to build robust assumptions and forecast inputs

    + Analyze competitors and market dynamics to inform forecasting models and strategic decisions

    + Lead collaboration with internal cross functional partners to obtain relevant data and analysis for forecast inputs

    + Confidently present and defend forecast approach, methodology, assumptions, and outputs in brand team discussions

    + Collaborate with the broader CD&A organization to integrate comprehensive insights and analytics knowledge into forecast development

     

    What we expect of you

    Basic Qualifications:

    Doctorate degree

    OR

    Master’s degree and 2 years of data analytics and or forecasting experience

    OR

    Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of data analytics and or forecasting experience

    OR

    Associate’s degree and 10 years of data analytics and or forecasting experience

    OR

    High school diploma / GED and 12 years of data analytics and or forecasting experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Basic knowledge of marketing analytics / Forecasting in the pharmaceutical industry

    + Experience with advanced spreadsheets and automated data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, etc.)

    + Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and database languages (e.g. SQL)

    + Ability to think strategically to support key business decisions

    + Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment across different functional groups

    + Demonstrated analytical skills—understands the strengths and limitations of different analytical approaches and their findings

    + Skill in handling multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks and projects simultaneously

    The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
